Does anyone know if someone has created a specilist toothing application for a mobile phone? As I understand it it's not too hard to write applications for some mobile phones - I'm sure there are clever geeks out there who can write Java.

Would it be difficult for someone to write an application that (for example) peridoically scanned the area for Bluetooth devices in range and gave you the option of sending them a message?

What a good chllenge for someone's University project!
